Gandhi Ashlock

Motivated by the need to create and the want to explore new possibilities. His work is graffiti based because that was his introduction into the art world. Gandhi's current body of work has been merging digital tools with physical tools to create a more precise end result. His bread and butter are creating custom letter forms, however he is always trying to expand his skill set. Gandhi is heavily influenced by Chicano culture. Growing up Vallejo CA also has a strong correlation with his subject matter. Lately, he has been striving to offer insight into where he comes from so people can better understand his perspectives. Gandhi is not asking anyone to agree with his views. He is asking them to articulate how he arrives at these various conclusions. He has attempted to add emphasis on these messages by including 3-D objects and using various mediums. All through the Lense of his MacMushroom persona.
